Conquering Insecticide Resistance: A New Era
At ApresLabs Ltd, we utilise cutting-edge biochemistry to overcome insecticide resistance and create natural synergists for a sustainable future.
Our Commitment to Agricultural Innovation
Transforming agriculture through:
- Research in overcoming insecticide resistance.
- Utilising synergists from natural plant extracts.
- Promoting environmental benefits through eco-friendly solutions.

“Application of synergists would facilitate insecticidal rates being lowered 3-fold with no loss of efficacy ”
Dr Graham Moores, Founder Apreslabs Ltd

Pathway to a Natural Synergist

Plant material is gathered from source

Extraction and semi-purification

Biochemical assays

The novel extract is tested against the metabolic enzymes of the insect that are conferring resistance.
Whenever possible, recombinant or purified enzyme is used, but if this is not available models of molecular docking are constructed.

Overcoming
Insecticide Resistance
Addition of a natural synergist, SYN-A,
is seen to increase the efficacy of alpha-cypermethrin to confer mortality against cabbage stem flea beetle (CSFB).
The IRAC approved Method 031 using coated glass vials for testing pyrethroids against CSFB was employed.
